Grants Development Specialist

As a Grants Development Specialist, Grace Thornton serves as liaison between the college and potential funding sources. She assists faculty in locating external funding sources from both federal and private foundation sources. Once potential funding sources are identified, Grace assists in the development of grant proposals by working with principal investigators to write proposals and develop the plans to be implemented with external funds. She also works closely with Kim Wright throughout the entire development process to ensure that budgetary needs are addressed in a timely manner and proper University and funding agency requirements are met. She also serves as the liaison with the Clarke County School District and UGA IRB for research projects submitted for implementation in Clarke County Schools.
