New Aderhold Research Offices - Completed March 2007

Aderhold Escalators Are History; Construction Begins on New, Dedicated Research Space

A College of Education project to remove the broken escalators in Aderhold Hall and then reconstruct the 2,220 square feet of void that is left into dedicated research space has now entered its second phase.

The removal of the escalators from the ground floor to the third floor began in May 2006 and was completed in late August. Plans call for the construction of new offices for faculty, staff and students associated with major research grants.

The construction will create 550 square feet per floor of new, dedicated research space. There will be one office on the ground floor, two large offices each on the first and second floors, and four offices on the third floor.

The College and the construction company doing the work ask for your patience during this phase. Construction is expected to be completed by December 2006.

The photos on this page provide an inside glimpse at project. They were taken by Troy Bassett and Paula Roberts.
