Gifted and Creative Education (GCE)

Gifted and Creative Education M.Ed. program

Students in Gifted and Creative Education may pursue either an M.A. or M.Ed. degree. These degree programs are differentiated by requirements and type of practicum activities. The Master of Education in Educational Psychology (M.Ed.) degree has a more applied emphasis and is primarily designed for students who intend to be practitioners in the schools.

The program requirements for the M.Ed. are listed below as a guide. The student, his or her advisor, and the other members of the advisory committee will add additional courses to the program of study according to the individual student's needs. Equivalent courses may be substituted for those listed with equivalence as determined by the student's advisory committee. If equivalence is so determined, a written statement regarding equivalence is added to the student's file.
