About the College of Education Graduate Programs at GwinnettWelcome to the University of Georgia’s, College of Education graduate programs offered at Gwinnett! I am delighted that you have considered our graduate programs. The College of Education offers several master’s and specialist programs, some of which can be completed entirely, or in part, at the Gwinnett campus. For specific information about a program, contact the individual listed for each program. Some of the graduate programs in Gwinnett are intended for individuals seeking certification in the state of Georgia. These programs include the following: 1. Ed.S in School Counseling; 2. M.Ed and Ed.S in Educational Administration and Policy; 3. M.Ed and Ed.S in Instructional Technology with School Library Media; or 4. The Program for Alternative Certification in Secondary Science.. Each of these programs leads to initial certification and prepares students for the Praxis II examination. Other programs are designed for individuals who already hold state certification but seek only an advanced degree in Education (i.e., master's or specialist degree). These programs include the following: 1. M.Ed in Early Childhood; 2. M.Ed. in Middle School Education; 3. M.Ed. in Human Resource and Organizational Development; 4. M.Ed. in Occupational Studies; or 5. M.Ed. in Instructional Technology with Technology Integration Program. Individuals seeking a master’s with initial teaching certification should consider program offerings at the main campus in Athens.
